Melbourne doctor cops cruel $99 fine after treating virus patients

It’s a headline story. Would the parking officers have known and even if they did, would they have a discretion to not issue a fine? If writing in for an administrative review, based on the circumstances didn’t set aside the fine, appearing before a magistrate probably would. Understandably going to the hassle of either (or both) process can be annoying, but that’s the risk of illegal parking regardless of the reason or justification.
